How to…

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all having a great week. Life here at the D’arc Creations world is been busy and fun, I have been making some new and fun jewelry and working on some custom orders too.

I’ve been noticing lately that many of the search terms that people use and find my blog are: how to make jewelry, necklace tutorial, step by step… And many similars. So I thought: Why not showing you guys how I make some of my jewelry? I guess many people like to see the process on gathering the materials together to the ready piece, or also just looking for some inspiration.

So I have prepared a step by step tutorial showing how to make an easy and still very elegant bracelet. I want to show you the jewelry making process.

If you are not into jewelry making, this bracelet is available in my Etsy Shop.

Supplies:

– Beads of your choice (I’ve used some beautiful flat oval aquamarine stones)

– Chain

– Jump rings

– Crimp beads

– Chain

– Tiger tail

– A clasp

How to make a beaded bracelet

Step 1: Cut the wire and pass it trough the crimp bead. As you can see on the picture I’ve used a stop metal bead and passed the wire trough it and then passed the wire again trough the crimp bead. This is too prevent that the wire slips out the jump ring, another solution is to use a closed jump ring. Squeeze the crimp bead flat with a pair of flat nose pliers.

How to make a beaded bracelet

Step 2: String your beads on the wire. The quantity of beads will depend on the beads size and on the desired size of your bracelet. My beads are 18mm big so I needed eight for a 21cm bracelet. Repeat step 1.

Step 3: Add the jump rings.

Step 4: Cut the chain on the same lenght as your beads string.

Step 5: Add the chain and the clasp and close the jump rings.

And you are done. You bracelet is ready to use.
